Ministry with Children and Youth
Infants and Toddlers
A nursery is available for children up to 4 years old in the Ministry Center. The nursery is in the back room on the right and is staffed every Sunday morning during the 10 a.m. service.
A cry room is available during every service to give your child a chance to be themselves while still being in worship behind a window. The cry room is accessible from the Welcome Center.
Children
Sunday School takes place during the 10am service for VPK – 6th grade. All students will begin worship with their families and be dismissed to the Ministry Center for classes after the Children’s Message. Students will return during the offering to complete worship and communion with their families. There are currently 2 classes available, Lower (VPK-2nd grade) and Upper (3rd-6th grade).
First Communion classes are available for students 1st grade and above who wish to begin receiving Holy Communion. This is a yearly class led by Pastor Sean or Pastor Jen. Please contact the office for the next scheduled class.
The BeTweens is a Preteen Ministry for students in Grades 4th-6th. They meet once per month in the Ministry Center for a time of fellowship and fun! Check the calendar for upcoming meeting dates.
Confirmation
Confirmation classes are available for students 7th grade and above who wish to Affirm their Baptism. This is a two year course lead throughout the year by Pastor Sean or Pastor Jen. Students will meet in the Administrative Center at the beginning of the 10am service and will join their families during the offering to complete worship and communion. Check the calendar for the next scheduled class or contact the pastors for more information.
Youth Group
GTLC Youth Group is available for students 7th – 12th grades every Sunday evening. We will meet in the Ministry Center for a time of fellowship, food and fun. Outings, service projects and mission opportunities are being planned for throughout the year.
Families
Family Funday Sundays are a special time for our families to have fellowship and FUN! FFS typically takes place after the 10am service every few months. Take a look at the church calendar to see when the next Family Funday Sunday is scheduled!
Parent’s Time Off is made just for our young families! We invite toddlers to 5th graders to come and hang out with GTLC staff and volunteers playing games and making crafts and give their parent’s some much deserved time off! Volunteers
With so much going on in our Children, Youth and Family Ministries we will always welcome a helping hand! From leading or assisting Sunday School or Nursery, to making dinners for the Youth, to handing out popcorn or running a craft station at a special event, our needs are so diverse that we will find a spot that fits you perfectly – even if you don’t know what that might be!

Special Events
Throughout the year GTLC will host special events for our church and community such as Outdoor Movie Nights, Trunk or Treat and Vacation Bible School. We invite ALL in our community to come out and join in the fun! Stay tuned for more information on our next special event.
